Often enough, people come to me and ask me for advice. Sometimes it’s because I can relate to them, sometimes it’s because we’re close friends, and sometimes the person just needs someone to talk to and I happen to be handy, but whatever the reason, people pose questions to me about their lives or about a certain situation, and I try to help them

i dont think u should think that not taking advice is a necessarily bad think, or make a resolution to ask advice. maybe u dont ask advice, because u dont need it. some ppl are just not as confident as u niraj patel and always need approval from sumone else. maybe u dont, and ur confident in the choices u make. though holding a lot of stuff inside and releasing it is a good idea. you should never keep bundled inside of u. but u dont need anyone else to make u feel more comfortable with ur decisions. if its 49-49 in halo 2 and i see a guy by himself going up a lift and i got one shot on my snipe. im not asking fucking permission. im gonna try to kill that sonovabitch. but u know if ive been all worried about askin sum girl to prom and i dunno if i should thats sumthin u should ask a friend for advice about. another good lj niraj patel.

As usual a fitting and thoughtful response, I particularly loved the Halo reference. You're actually very right, a lot of the time when I don't ask for advice it's because I trust very few people more than I trust myself--I don't believe in doubting oneself; I think that leads to personal weakness and ultimately can end up with someone who submits constantly to the will of others, and I would hate that. My resolution to seek advice more corresponded to the times where I actually feel I need it.

Thanks for helping me get a lot more out of my entry than I intended.

The truth is, we are secretly in love. But I guess if I say that it's not a secret. Don't know how it happened..must've gotten some good advice somewhere along the line.

I think that might be one of your best entries ever. Knowing you as well as I do, I think you have discovered something about yourself which is pretty interesting. I agree it never hurts to hear a second opinion. Sometimes we are too immersed in the situation to have a realistic perspective of it, so in that aspect seeking advice is a good idea. Just so you know I'm always hear to give you advice. I'm sure you will be on the verge of making one of the many mistakes I have, and perhaps I can help you get through it.

Nice entry, Niraj. I know far too well that you give some of the best advice because I've gotten a lot of it. But yes, second opinions do help..a lot. Although you are a guy who likes to keep his problems (if there are any) to himself, advice definitely could help. Sorry this comment isnt that great, I told you why. Haha. But good entry!!
