Am I unusual?

My mom's friend, Donna, said she has never had a guest like me stay over. I don't know about others, but when I am a guest in someone's home I always clean, do the washing up, offer to cook, buy my own food (and share) and do laundry. And I always strip the bed the day I leave ( Read more... )

no... it's cool - i do the same.... just decent manners and respect i guess - it's a strange fucked-up world where that's seen as unusual

arrrgggghhhh

still.... thingz will get better

(and hope you do manage to get some sun whilst you're there;)

I agree it is good manners.

I am going to the flat tomorrow to gather my mom's things together. Money will make people turn into evil bastards. You can't take it with you so why think it is the only thing that counts? Money can buy things, but it cannot buy friends.

I am hoping to get some sun this week so I can make all of you palefaces there jealous. :)

i clean up after myself and others, as well as do the dishes, load and empty the dishwasher when i stay at another's house if it's family. but if i didn't know the person, i am sure i would do much more as you did. it's nice to know that there are some considerate people out there.

I am glad I am not alone. Donna said every guest she had stay never did anything and even her own children (who bring their kids) don't help out. When asked to do something she is told they are on holiday! If it was me, I would tell them they could stay in a hotel if they are on holiday and expect to be waited on.
