Am I unusual?

My mom's friend, Donna, said she has never had a guest like me stay over. I don't know about others, but when I am a guest in someone's home I always clean, do the washing up, offer to cook, buy my own food (and share) and do laundry. And I always strip the bed the day I leave.

Donna had never met me when she offered to have me stay with her for three weeks while I got things sorted. She even said she would pick me up from the airport, but I had a rental car. I have done all the laundry, cooked, mopped, dusted, cleaned and changed the linen. Donna works long hours and suffers from a bad knee. I feel it is the least I can do after she kindly offered me a place to stay for such a long time.

I do the same whenever I stay at anyone's home. My grandma said she would never know I had stayed with her because I leave the place in a good condition. With the exception of one, I always had guests who did washing up and such things. Ok, not the laundry, but usually helped out around the house.

Am I just being a pedantic, nit-picker or is the usual practice of others?
