Wow, I really like this! And also: Geez! I have been working on writing a poem a day at home since the beginning of the year, and nothing has come out as nice as this. :) I love the imagery of this solitary moment!

Great imagery! Poor Oyster- *slurp*. Do you know this sub-tender? My Pop was stationed in Philly naval yard when we were young. I assume this is where this pic is from? And a nice pic too! peace~~~D

We believe my great-grandfather worked at this naval yard bwfore transferring to Washington, D.C., in about 1917 or 1918. Yes, you placed the photo! I took this last fall while my husband and I were on our way to the pop-up drive-in theater they've had at the Navy Yards for the last year or so.
