Great title, and such a wonderful photo! I think we make a good writing team! I'm glad I was able to assist.

Thanks! The title occurred to me late last night on my way to bed, so I didn't actually have to sleep on it. Thanks for the valuable feedback. It's always great to have someone to use as a sounding board and to help refine my piece.

I love the metaphor you've made here!

Thank you! It really does begin to feel as if you're dancing to an interior puppetmaster.

This was just wonderful. It really speaks to the long nine months of waiting and then the ever-after! Great job. The photo is fantastic!

Thank you! The idea occurred to me because a good friend of mine is nearing the end of her pregnancy, which reminded me what it felt like.

This is so clever and so true. Willing host as I was, yet also remember how I felt at only 21 as inspecting the damage wondered would I ever be OK again? After all I had a long, long way to go. You say it so well all the little things, we are not there for us, nature makes sure the baby is more important. You looked beautiuful at full term.

The joy though is worth the discomfort, the marks, and the inconvenience. Most things heal fade or repair, I was lucky my plumbing stayed intact! (I had three children the last was 9.9.) A truly great entry.

Unfortunately for me, my son's head was in the 90th percentile! Still, things are getting a little better all the time, and all I have to do is gaze into those big, brown eyes to be assured it was all worth it.

Glad you enjoyed it and could identify.

Love the ending. And ugh, the leaky pipes.

Right? I kind of love the recent commercial with Kirstie Alley dressed as a faerie, delivering pantyliners to a woman who has to exit a room because she laughed too hard.

Getting a cold is the absolute worst.
