Agreed on so many points!! Although I will comment that while I was told a zomgajillion times about "get sleep while you can" etc. etc., I was still thrown by the reality of the situation once Ian came home.

I used to dream of having a daughter as well but I can tell you that baby boys are AWESOME!!!!!

I hope I'm not out of line here, but having a boy meant that I had to confront the societal pressure to snip part of him off shortly after birth, a pressure I'm glad I resisted. I know you well enough to know that this is something you've probably already thought through. We were still discussing the pro's/con's the day after Ian's birth! I know that's a really personal thing so if I've overstepped by mentioning it, please forgive me.

Weight-wise, I gained over 40 pounds during pregnancy, shooting me waaay over my former highest weight. However, breastfeeding took the weight off again FAST. Worlds cutest tapeworm, seriously! :D

(((HUGS))) It's going to be awesome...you guys are so lucky!!

Staring at my belly would have been an improvement. I boggled over the virtual strangers who felt a need to TOUCH my belly. "Hi, we just met, can you stop touching me?"

Please, you can't sleep when you're 9 months pregnant any better than when the baby comes!

Get used to your son being called a girl. People called Olivia a boy and Salvatore a girl for like the first year of their lives without any good reason. People are strange/stupid.

There's nothing wrong with painkillers. I birthed Olivia without drugs. It was painful! With Salvatore I was blissfully in epidural world. We were quite happy and healthy that way.

The best way to lose wight after giving birth is nursing. Not everyone can/wants to do it, but it burns a ton of calories.

Enjoy this final time with your son blissfully in the belly. After they're born it's wonderful, but I always kind of miss the little kicks and nudges from within me :)

While it should go without saying, making my sweetheart cry is at the top of my DO NOT list. Please. Don't. Really.

I always know what to say and do? No pressure. :)

You're awesome, honey. You don't even have to try; you just are.

Pregnancy does sound like one of the weirdest, most awkward and wonderful experiences a woman can have. My mom tells me that the second you get pregnant, you should expect to constantly be fending off belly touchers and unsolicited advice-givers.

She's right. It's important sometimes to remind myself "they mean well." Here on LJ, though, I can gripe about it safely. :)

I thought about teasing you but changed my mind. I did however see a question that was not on the list. Have you picked out a name for your baby? I bet lots of people ask that.

We have, but I'm not going to share it publicly. If you'd like to know, I can message it to you.

Oh, I am just fine with waiting to hear his name when you post it here in your journal.

I just think that would be a question that would be asked a lot by people. That would get tiresome.
