This weekend was Com Con, which is the annual winter retreat for Otakon staffers. Traditionally, it is both a working weekend and an opportunity to socialize.
Love the pictures, as always, and your commentary! And yes, "moogle" is correct. They are a creature in Final Fantasy games, often who act as messengers, aid, guard, and kick-ass-fighters. I suggest "The Moogle" for my neesan b/c she runs Moogle-mail in the LARP.
There's just not enough time to squeeze in all the things I wanted to do. If I'd known the meeting wasn't happening on Friday night, I would have sought you out. But I'm glad I got to play at least one game with you.
Board games require a time commitment of several hours -- whereas card games can be played for shorter periods, allowing you to socialize more. That's the main reason why I haven't played them at Comcon, even though I'm well-known to be a dab hand at Talisman. :)
That's precisely the reason I often don't get involved in board games at parties and/or social events. My first question to the people setting up the game is usually "how long will it take?"
We missed you! Yes, "Moogle" was explained as a LARP thing. And I knew that The Minion came from his early days in Otakon, but I didn't know exactly what the reference was. Thanks!

The Minion comes from when he was Minion for the Otakon Game Show.
I'm so glad you posted this. It's almost like being there...
