After this weekend, I finally have an answer for the people who have been asking me, "Are you ready for the baby?" I can say, "Nearly." Thanks to the help of our friends My College Roommate, The Martial Artist, and Kapow, we moved the big items in order to convert the office/guest room into the office/nursery.

I was popular this weekend, or at least on Saturday. That night, I was invited to two simultaneous events. I managed to put in an appearance at both of them.

This weekend was Com Con, which is the annual winter retreat for Otakon staffers. Traditionally, it is both a working weekend and an opportunity to socialize.

Saturday marked the second day of Independence Day festivities at The White Rabbit's house. He hosted a barbecue both days, knowing some people can't take off work for the federal holiday.
