I just feel... you know, I'm a little old to be whining about my mother in my journal. I mean, I feel like such a teenager now. But things like this really hurt, and I do have to vent.

Sometimes I think cutting ties is exactly what I'm going to end up doing with my mother. Then I think about it and realise how much that would complicate things.

One of my problems with my mother is that she's not actually the main mother figure in my life; that'd be my aunt, Layla's mom. So when she starts meddling in my affairs it gets on my nerves, since I don't feel she has any right to, and at the same time I can't tell her, "You're not my real mom", or anything of the sort.

Blech, anyway. Parents are complicated.
