Ugh. I should be happy, but spending time with Dino has made me realize how my life isn't exactly stellar.
I don't have friends who seem to care about what I'm doing, or where I am. No emails, no texts, no nothing. And it's just not now.
What have I done wrong? Oh well. Maybe time to make new ones? Or just be an island? -

I'm travelling with burnoutfuture across some of Southeast Asia! (Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand).
We are on day 4 of 13, and it's been great so far!

leaving again...
I'm lying on the beach by my family's beach house while i'm writing this, with the tide rushing in and the waves angrily crashing onto shore.
I cannot believe that i am leaving all these again for the second time. The first time i left seemed like a natural progression to my increasingly somewhat nomadic ways, but this time, it doesnt feel like it ( Read more... ) -
anxious
I am teaching a genetics crash course (Mitosis, Meiosis, Mendelian inheritance, some molecular, etc) tomorrow. What's making me anxious is not the course itself, but who I'm teaching it to. My students tomorrow are going to be high school teachers from my city, some of whom might have been my teachers.

unemployed
I quit my job last Wednesday. My original plan was to work until November 20, but that changed when they told me that I couldn't take any more Leave of Absence without Pay since I am still in my probationary period.
I had to miss work because I all my visa issues have to be resolved and processed in Manila, which makes me miss at least 1 day of ( Read more... ) -

I interviewed with the German Cancer Research Center two days ago, and now I have a plane ticket to go visit Heidelberg, Germany and go on a final interview on September 28! All expenses paid!
I am trying to figure out work and everything else. This is not easy. I hope I get a tourist visa in time. -

Singapore Employment Pass
A couple of weeks ago, my brother was home from Singapore, and he mentioned that I should apply for an employment pass in Singapore. This pass will basically let me go to Singapore and find a job, and employers are assured that I will get a work permit, as I have been "pre-approved" by virtue of the Employment Pass.
