[ PUBLIC]

All said and done, I'm glad Valentine's Day is over. The chocolates this year were not worth the chaos on Friday the 13th.

[ VONGOLA ]

Now that the fiasco that was Friday the 13th is over, let's try to get back on track. IT has everything back up and running, so no need to worry.

...That said, though, if you accidentally outed something ( Read more... )

Pretty good. Lounged around for a bit, experimented on some dessert and caught up with my reading. I found an unopened novel by Sarah Dunant under my bed. The Birth of Venus. :) It was still in it's plastic wrap and I don't remember when I bought it!

I'm halfway through and it's rather lovely though. The story's set in Florence during the Rennaisance and the romance angle is rather unconventional but I think you'll enjoy it. I'll leave it on your desk tomorrow, am on the last few chapters anyway. :)

They do, in their own way, I suppose. I think it's only because threatened to put sleeping pills in their coffee that they decided it was wiser to leave me alone and literally work. That, or it's my height intimidating them, I really don't know. I don't really mind being bothered as long as the work's done for the day. :(

It sounds like a good book! You wouldn't mind lending it to me once you've finished? It's been a while since I had the time to read a good book, but you've piqued my interest :) Thanks in advance! You know my tastes all too well :3

Threatening doesn't really go over well in HR. And I'm not as tall as you. It's all right, I'm sure everything will calm down after last week's spectacle.

It's no problem at all, darling. ♥

They should. It won't do any of us any good if it doesn't. :) But if ever there's more trouble I can drop by on my mid-morning break and be... intimidatingly tall?

♥ Have you found any good recipes for this weekend yet?

Haha, you don't have to do that :) Sasagawa genes, remember? I can be intimidatingly loud if I need to be. Thankfully I don't have to that often - I don't know how Ryohei does it without getting hoarse all the time.

...Kyo-chan? You mean the one on the Disciplinary Committee, that you were always asking to be in the boxing clu-

No. No way!

I'm not worried so much about your jaw as I'm worried about the fact that you're still calling him Kyo-chan, and that might be detrimental to your health.

I realize, but Ryohei, he is our semi-boss-person...thing. He's higher up than us. He deserves a little respect. Nose or no nose. :|

I know it's still tiny. It's...kind of cute.

Hullo Kyoko-san. I have, actually. He's here, checking up on the hinges and clucking his tongue at me. He hasn't mentioned property-damage charges though, so I think I'm safe and he's being nice about replacing the knob. Thing's faulty and he's decided it's not my fault.

Thank you for lunch again.

Oh, good. Don't let him get to you, he's pretty much always like that. He probably won't charge you anything, it's not even your first week here yet and you got trapped, for goodness's sake.

No problem :)

What does the thirteenth have to do with Valentine's Day?

Reply

alwaysbooked February 17 2009, 03:18:54 UTC
Only that the thirteenth was the day before, really. It was just bad timing - as if there wasn't enough chaos with the holiday, there were a hundred other mishaps that also created problems.

Ah, I see. It must have been lively over there. Vongola, right?

Yes, Vongola. But it's always lively here. On Friday it was just in a more...potentially dangerous way. Emotionally and in a take-a-wrong-step-and-you'll-split-your-head-open kind of way. Thank goodness it's over.

I know, but I can't exactly let you get away with it. I have to enforce the rules for everyone, or else...well, you know. I deal with enough complaints as it is.

...I wasn't really referring to you, anyways, though.

It won't happen again. Happy?

Yes, thank you.

...Although, if it's after-hours and I'm not there...feel free to smack him if he gets too annoying.

...Not that I'm approving of violence among employees.

...Just no more punching, okay?
