Tis Spring.  She said, regardless or irregardless of it going down to 30 tomorrow with a chance of snow.  Ahem.  Today was sunny and may have hit 70.  Go figure.  But there are buds on the trees and daffodils are dillying.  I may have even seen a bee.  Pollen count is up

I tried filing a late return because I knew they owed me rather than v/v... and then never ended up actually filing the return. As such: just do it. But arrrrrgh. Spring clean all the things.

In other news - snow.

Mother's out of the hospital, for now. She now claims she's allergic to goat cheese as well as yogurt. She can drink milk and eat cottage cheese and many other cheeses just fine. Does this make sense?

Brother is leaving and I'm not sure we'll have time to see each other before the trip. What to do...

I went to a few Mensa gatherings when I was much younger but I found the members to be like most academicians, overly smug and self-congratulatory. I know I'm smart, easily in the top one or two percent. I don 't need to celebrate it with every waking breath.
I like you for a metric lot of reasons. Intelligence is just one of those. I'm also enamored of your humor, your kindness, your depth of character, your whimsy... The list is near endless.

I think, I hope, that with a lot more sleep and some distance my ability to cope well with my mother improves. I'm better able to remember to express my gratitude for the good stuff and bite my tongue on the little disagreements. More importantly perhaps I want to. It's a shame there is so much we can't discuss because we will start snapping, but at least we know and can avoid them. We try but we always back off. Dad, my job, my not being married, her health, stuff like that
