The Netflix production values overall have taken a dive in recent years, I think they might have had financial struggles? The problem is some of those out outfits look not much better than fancy dress outfits from amazon.

I agree, even if it's historically inaccurate or fictional outfitting it can still be done so it looks decent quality, for the main characters at any rate.

There's also no shortage of other productions to nick stuff off second hand.

I think the most accurate comment is that the show is basically fanfiction and has the costumes to match 😆
