[[Backdated to just after Matoi's post.]]

Right, for those of you who are confused, I'm the Doctor, distinct from the skinny one with a pinstripe fetish. He's the older one, if you're curious.

Something to keep in mind when locking things.

Should I call you junior?

No, you really shouldn't.

Not that I could stop you if you did, but I wouldn't have to answer to it either, now would I?

Best if we skip the whole thing.

And yet, still tempting.

So you're the Doctor. The other Doctor. Karrin Murphy. Considering my luck, we'll probably run into each other at some point, so you should know right now that I know more about you than you're probably comfortable with.

Just. FYI.

Oh, I think I like you.

You still can't call me Junior.

And by this point, I'm wondering if that applies to everyone I meet in this place.

{{After a good long time of just dotting at his journal...}}

I wasn't aware another iteration of you had come through.

{{Abrupt switch to Gallifreyan}}

«The Vesmier. A friend of a you from another universe - who's also come through this Rift, and was in this London the last I spoke with him. That makes at least four of you, that I'm aware of, extant in this universe. Not to mention the Rani.»

«...I trust the TARDIS has managed to find you?»

Oh, you know me. Can't keep me away from anything interesting.

[[After a long period of staring at the written form of a language there's no one around to speak anymore where he's from... The Vesmier may notice that the Gallifreyan, though technically correct, shows signs of having been written by a less than steady hand.]]

«Well, let's just hope we never have to worry about getting all of myselves in a room together. No one wants that big an explosion in one place, do they?»

«...Not that it would be out of character for the city, but there's only so many things you want blown up in any given time period.»

«She found me, and mentioned you. Thought my hearts would stop when she mentioned "look after Kosch" as part of my(variant universe) instructions to her, but we cleared that up quickly enough. Apparently you're just stodgy, not crazy and evil. Good to know, especially since we've got the other one here.»

«...I never tell myself anything useful. You'd think eventually I'd learn better.»

{{After a long patch of repressing a groan - hardly dignified, that - at the TARDIS's... unique approach to telling people things...}}

...you'd rather this took place in something other than Gallifreyan, wouldn't you?

{{Not like this is indicative of EVERY DOCTOR EVER, or anything.}}

I'm a senatorial adjunct in my universe. Your analogue is less than impressed with my choice of profession, and the survival skills it imparts. Nonetheless, I've managed this far. As for any perceived stodginess, I'm not sure I want to dignify that with an examination.

...I haven't run into my analogue yet, which I think is for the best. You wouldn't happen to know what he's doing in the city, would you?

Anything other than Gallifreyan, to be honest. Including the languages that are based around a single concept, like fish. Ever run into that one? It's literally impossible to express anything without involving or alluding to fish.

And I think I like senatorial adjuct better than would-be conqueror. Changing the system from within, are we?

No idea what the Master's doing here, though I might have to yell at myself a bit. My next regeneration likes sharing information even less than I do.

I don't suppose you people have a terms that'd uniquely identify you without resorting to semantic gymnastics, would you? 'cause I could just call you Old Doc and Young Doc, but I imagine that'd only last until Iteration n+1 of you showed up.

Or I could start arbitrarily assigning nicknames. I've done it before, with the Joes.

You could.

You might also want to refer to us by generation. I'm the ninth, and the other one's the tenth. Doesn't do you much good if any duplicates from the same generation show up, but if any other generations from similar timelines show up, at least we come pre-numbered.

So if Chicago decides it's gotta catch 'em all, are we talking potential for infinite fractal-like replication, here? 'cause while I can see that being hilarious, "Hey, Three-thousand-six-hundred-eighty-one!" is a bit cumbersome to yell in an emergency.
