if you can manage it, get your self out to the national palace museum.it's a bit out of the city proper, but is the most amazing ever. a friend and i nearly got left there, we were so entranced.
also, the night market is awesome, and ,and , and there's just so much amazing oddness to be seen in taipei, it's hard to tell you what else is a must.
