2012 in Review

Well...December 31 of 2012 looms and it's been a momentous year. Not all good, not all bad. Harder than I wished it to be. Like most adults for whom childhood is too far behind, I feel the need to review and prepare for 2013.

So...The Good Stuff

I survived the year....refer to The Bad Stuff below

Indeed, I agree with hanasian :) One thing that I like Livejournal for over Facebook is that one can post long posts and have nice conversations with people that you know (whereas Facebook always seems to involve people that you don't know as well).

Plus there's more control on Livejournal. It certainly sounds like you've had a rocky 2012. I'm so sorry about your mother's health, although it seems like she's battling on.

You seem to have lots of plans for 2013 and I know that with your determination, you'll succeed in them all if you can.

All the best, and see you around LJ. *hugs*

And you can link LJ posts so that they show up on your FB feed. I'm toying with that idea at the moment.

You found me, Hel! :) Great to find you here!

Now there is a LJ app for mobile devices, I think it will be easier to keep the journaling up. Not sure how I'll go with uploading meaningless cat photos....there's a storage limit on LJ (is that a sigh of relief I just heard?).

Yes, I've kept LJ and Facebook apart. I like to keep my social networks separate. :D

I guess with the meaningless cat photos, you'll just have to post the links to them. ;)

At least with some parts of 2013 you'll be prepared for the challenges. Of course, preparation only goes so far. But reaching the end of any year healthier, wiser and stronger is always a good ambition - one we should all aim for.

Nowt wrong with making plans, just so long as you're able to accept that things may change them. :)

(Lovely photo, by the way. :))

Acceptance that things change for reasons beyond my control and in ways I do not approve of requires dignity and wisdom.

Sadly, I lack both requisites....so, that means 2013 should nothing if not an interesting roller coaster... ;-)
