More Harry..nagging question(s)

If Harry's invisibility cloak is so "perfect and infallible" then why could Mad-Eye and Dumbledore see through it?

Where was Fudge? I hope he and Umbridge got that horrible curse that turns you inside-out or the likes.

I agree with the going opinion that Ginny was totally and fully prepared to give Harry more than just a going away kiss (she should ( Read more... )

Well, Moody's magical eye was pretty bad ass. I mean, come on! The man could see through walls! And Heaven only knows what. And I think Dumbledore could "sense" Harry was there, more than he could see him. Although, it's been a while since I've read the books, so I could be wrong. Besides, DD spent a lot of time inspecting it. Maybe he figured a way to see through it, too.

Didn't Fudge die? I thought someone killed him in the sixth book, or something. If not, then I just pretended he was dead. And Umbridge definitely needs the curse that turns you inside out. Then she needed to be put in a room full of vultures.

And I'm also agreeing with that opinion. I don't know that he should've stopped and kissed her, though. He might not have gone.

I'm still trying to figure out which items were Horcruxes, and what not. *lol*

True, Lernie, he might not have gone on to his death. I guess at that point, nothing mattered to him anymore other than getting it over with.

The Horcruxes:
The diary--destroyed by Harry
The ring--destroyed by Dumbledore
The locket--destroyed by Ron
The cup--destroyed by Hermione
The diadem--destroyed by Crabbe's fire (or was it Goyle-meh)
Nagini--offed by Neville (who ROCKED)
Harry-"killed" by Voldemort.

There you go.

It was Crabbe's. He died. Yay!

But yeah, I was pissed at Ron for breaking up Harry and Ginny. My dislike of Ron put aside it was really lame of him as a man to do that to his bro. Whatever. Ron sucks anyway.

Moving on...Fudge never died. He's still wandering around somewhere. Don't matter. I honestly never looked back and thought, "Hey where's fudge?" He probably ended up dying or something but JK never said. So...sorry Chris! No answer.

Meh,no biggie, just wonderin'. I could have cared less about Crabbe and Goyle, and most of the Slytherins were jerks until the bitter end (hello, Pansy, wanting to give Harry up).

I wondered when you'd start posting about Harry ( ... )

I heard a rumor that she wrote the epilogue a long time ago, like during the era she wrote the first book, hence the simplistic writing style. I don't know where people heard that, and I don't know why she wouldn't have updated her ideas to fit properly by now, but alas, that's what I heard. The epilogue was totally fanfiction-ish, if you've ever read any. And it didn't really answer many important questions other than who couples with who and names them awkward sounding names. I guess we know about Neville and that Teddy is a horndog.

I think the DE's did show up at Grimmauld Place but just couldn't get in because of the spells from Moody? And I think they wouldn't call Voldemort to the scene unless they were absolutely certain Harry was there, and they couldn't get in to the house to tell for sure? Anyway, they were always hanging around outside watching for activity.

And well spotted with the broom under the arm, I have read that scene twice and didn't notice.

Callie is asleep now so I'm going to steal her thought of the night (but it is HER thought). What the heck happened to the Veil? and the Voices behind it? She never explained about that. So, that's just lost. Kinda lame, eh?

Yeah I added that to my list of questions later too. That whole dept. of mysteries stuff I guess is supposed to be left...well...mysterious. Pissed me off that they didn't put more of all that cool stuff in the movie, but that's a whole other topic, I suppose.
I guess the veil was always supposed to represent death and how close it really is to all of us, how close the people "on the other side" are. Or something. ???

I think DD sensed, more than saw through, the cloak. After all, he had a lot of experience with that type of thing.

I think DD opened the Snitch to put the ring in there, and closed it and sealed it so only Harry's "kiss" would open it again.

Oh, and Ginny was totally ready to give it up for Harry. Damn Ron. I was pissed, too. :-) And I frankly have never been a big Harry/Ginny fan. I think it's utterly hilarious to hear YOU talk about being pissed that Ron broke up a Harry/Ginny kiss because weren't you all about Harry/Hermione at one point???

Oh I just want Harry to be happy. I just don't think JKR ever really built up that relationship very well, even in the last book. :( Yay Bethy, I'm so glad you're done reading and now are discussing!!!!!!!!!!
