I decided to ditch my land line. I only made a couple of calls on it in a month, so was effectively paying $20+ a minute for those calls. Work pays for my cellphone, and it's not like I'm on it constantly. If they think I should have a land line for emergency purposes, then they can bloody well pay for it themselves.

I'll be very interested to see what you think of quality etc.

We're seriously thinking about scrapping our landline and going with VOIP and broadband only...
