I decided to ditch my land line. I only made a couple of calls on it in a month, so was effectively paying $20+ a minute for those calls. Work pays for my cellphone, and it's not like I'm on it constantly. If they think I should have a land line for emergency purposes, then they can bloody well pay for it themselves.

So damned tired at the moment. Not sleeping very well at night. Got home late on Monday, having stopped to help some folks change their tyre. The tyre was so bald that I cut my hand on the exposed steel belt - no wonder the damned thing blew! Apparently they were on their way home from a funeral.
