So damned tired at the moment. Not sleeping very well at night. Got home late on Monday, having stopped to help some folks change their tyre. The tyre was so bald that I cut my hand on the exposed steel belt - no wonder the damned thing blew! Apparently they were on their way home from a funeral. I told them to get new tyres before they ended up having to go to another one. Came home at lunch time on Tuesday, and slept for about 6 hours - too tired, and too cold. My boss said I was looking incredibly pale, so dropped me home. I thought I was coming down with something so checked my temperature - and rather than the fever I was expecting, it was down to 35.2, and I was fully rugged up in layers of merino & a down jacket. Wierd. Blankets, a warm cat and sleep sorted me out. I still feel like I could just curl up and sleep for a week. It's been very tempting. Too much to do, however. Too many important meetings. I have pre-hospital care training from Monday to Thursday next week (did my workplace first aid refresher on Monday). I'll try and catch up on sleep this weekend, but with the way things are going, I'm not sure that will pan out as hoped.
Greebo still has the flu. His eyes have stopped weeping bloody gunge, so the eye drops three times a day are doing their thing, but he's all sneezy and his inner eyelids are still showing a lot - makes him look cross-eyed. Doesn't seem to be getting any worse though.
Just got the first power bill after getting the dehumidifier - only about $100 more than usual... ouch! The previous estimated bill had been a bit on the low side, so this one was going to be higher to make up for it, but not by that much. Craig's not going to like having to fork out for my appliance use, so I guess I'll be wearing the cost of the extra. *Sigh*
[EDIT] Actually, it's not that bad, the dehumidifier is $1.91 to run a day 24/7, so it would only account for about $46 of that, max., since I bought it (and I know we haven't had it going 24/7), so the rest is just increased usage and a stupidly low estimate from last time - slight difference between last month's bill of $66.71, and $189.13... Our usual winter bills are between $100 and $125, and I know the unit cost has gone up since last year.
