Off to physio

Apr 07, 2008 08:28

After spending part of Friday and all of Saturday & Sunday with a hideous headache that max doses of nurofen & panadol, or Voltaren & panadol, and a hot bath, and wheat bag couldn't budge, I've made an appointment to see a physiotherapist to see if I can get myself sorted out.

sore back, medication, headache

Me too! Painkillers don't make good breakfast cereal...

If it helps, having a massage therapist poke at my posture and tell me which bits to fix (followed by some serious prodding of the pectorals) appears to have massively reduced the strain on my neck - might be worth getting someone to have a look?

Yep, been to several massage therapists, and a physiologist, and osteopaths who have poked at my posture and told me which bits to fix - the shorter leg isn't much help. Which meant that I was able to give this new physiotherapist a very comprehensive rundown on my condition. He was very interested, and quite excited to have such a well-documented case to play with. Apparently there are some issues that may be related to allergies, so that's something new to look at. Money has always been the biggest factor as to whether I've continued getting effective treatment previously, and this is the first time it's really flared up since I started my new job, so I may be able to keep going and get more long-term resolution.
