I don't really understand what the issue people have with changing one's name is. It's like changing one's name is a crime. I have done it legally, crossed every t and dotted every i and people in bureaucratic positions STILL flip the fuck out whenever they find out I changed it The only reason someone is "allowed" to change one's name is a woman who has gotten married. I've actually had people in government offices ask me "Why did you change your name?" as if it is any business of theirs whatsoever.
