Welcome back to the interwebz! It all sounds like good positive energy going on so far.

Only thing I wonder about is this app for taking CC payments. Obtaining a merchant account to be able to take Visa/MC is a nightmare of hoops, even for people with established businesses, credit, bank accounts, etc. I'm guessing that whoever runs these apps is the entity with the actual merchant account, so they probably take a chunky percentage of each transaction. You might want to look carefully at the terms just so you know what to expect.

https://squareup.com/ -- they've figure out how to UNscrew the little vendor .. Kit's biz partner has one, loves it. fees are smaller, deals for small businesses are far better than dealing with Visa or PayPal.

Based on what other readers have told me, asking a minimum of $20 instead of $15 will cover the fees.

When I am ready to buy, I'll have Kelleigh read the fine print. She is skilled in that area.

I hope this works out for you.

I know a number of people taking smartphone credit card payments (and have been told that it's also proven to be a boon to prostitutes and drug dealers, because all payments are listed as simply to or from Square, with no other identification). I'm guessing that with tourists you would make at least some more money and possible a good bit more money.
