The drain-thingy gets pulled out Thursday morning - can't wait for the tube and bulb to be gone, but not looking forward to the process of getting it pulled out. Prayers/thoughts that goes smoothly

The last bit of your post made me laugh... you never know do you? I had that drain bit removed before they released me from hospital. The best I can say is removing it is similar to that odd sensation of having your guts moved around as in a c-section. Internal tugging sort of thing. I can't lie - it wasn't nice, but it is quick.
You sound like you are healing fine - have you been to the doctor for a follow-up visit yet? It's been a year now for me - I have scars on my tummy for sure, but I feel so much better now. I did change my diet to limit my fat intake greatly and have switched to a nearly vegetarian diet - but not exclusively. I was surprised the doctor said I didn't have to change my diet at all after the surgery - but - they took a piece of me out that was broken... something needed to change. I found that bewildering.
I wish you all the best for a quick procedure and more healing. *hugs*
I didn't have any drainage tubes so I couldn't say whether that was the issue. But I did have some weird feelings every now and then like things were shifting and some twinges but nothing like that.
Considering that no matter how neatly they do things, they are still slicing through muscle and nudging aside organs so your body is still confused. As long as it's not getting worse and you don't have redness or a fever, just chalk it up to your guts grouching about being moved around *gentle hugs*
I hope you continue to heal well... ~ and it will be good to get the drainage apparatus removed... ~ hopefully that will make a big difference in how quickly you heal.
