Started the night off with a merit party invite from Aorlik almost immediately after I finished checking gardens last night. I was just about to start my semi-nightly crafting, but I've found that a lot of times prices at the guilds tend to be better (-ish?) later at night anyway. That aside, I'm pretty much at the point now where all the merit

Why bother with food at all? Moar damage is always nice, but how much are you getting with Mithkabobs anyway?

EDIT: I say this with no small amount of sheepishness, but Aor and I were pretty much camping the ls list waiting for you last night. Me for my coins, and Aor because he wanted a tank for the party :P I said something to Aor as soon as I saw you on your Windy mule.

Well... I haven't parsed it out, certainly. I've been out there more than a few times without using food, and it's something I go back and forth internally about. A lot. My bank isn't enough to where I want to toss upwards of 30k on food, but at the same time I tell myself I should be using something.

I can tell you that being out there with a COR and/or BRD vs. not having one or both is quite noticeable. That party I was writing about in the Signifying nothing...? entry had neither, and the damage output was noticeably lower.

BRD+COR is like having cake and ice cream. Parties without them are like being told to eat all your vegetables for dessert. Even if you like your veggies, that's nowhere near as yummy.

We weren't even getting the full effect of that last night since we were only getting one roll half the night (it may have showed 2 rolls, but wtf do the rest of us need with increased R.ACC?), and there were plenty of times with only one song as Deano was busy keeping the birds comin' :P

Yeah, true. What's really interesting is that the party I was in @ birds before this one, Dekken was with us as COR, and using some...ability, or spell...? Something called Storm Surge, I think he said. I can't seem to find it now on the wiki, argh! Whatever it was, it was giving us CRAZY boosts on our damage. I ripped off three KJ's in a row over 1300 (at which point I started asking wtf was going on), and that was with no food.

I wish I could find what he was talking about. Maybe Thistle will see this and can shed some light on it.
