"Thinking Abundantly"

Last week we drove to Oklahoma City to see a movie.  Thankfully, the boy's fall break began the next day, but we would have gone to see this film even if it had been a school night.  180 miles round trip, dinner at a bad fast food restaurant, and a quiet discussion about education, goals, happiness, and hope.  Wendell had the chance to see once ( Read more... )

I didn't know you could be too old for Legos - no one told John. It's great you could find a club on the mainland.

Are these movies on netflix? I'd live to see them. As you know I had similar problems as dyslexia - more 'cross-eyed' I guess ... It would be interesting to see how they approach this now compared to them simply skipping over concerns in the 70s and 80's. Thank goodness they finally see that people have different ways of learning.

The movies are not on Netflix,sadly. I did find this one on youtube, and it seems to have good info. I have not watched it, but it looks good.

Three hours later...I came home with a happy boy. He spent the entire weekend building in his room. So nice!

Not possible to outgrow Leggos, or anything we truly love.

I know you have said that you don't have home schooling in you, and I think that's great. What I don't think you realize is how much you and the Sr. Wendall both really work together with his school system to truly educate the boy. He really could NOT have landed with better parents. He's a very lucky boy indeed.
