*Yeeks and bites nails* This is what i was waiting for--the revelations. Now to find out if our current timeline incarnations of the the three will have the strength to deal with what our previous timeline incarnations of the three could not. On the one hand, they are different people who haven't been broken yet, but on the other, these seem like weaker, untested versions of the three anyway who are now going to have to deal with massive trauma all at once rather than incrementally. And of course, there's the despairing!John and crazy!Elizabeth factor. The only one I can see possibly coming out of this well is Rodney (if he even tries the device after John's experience).

if he even tries the device after John's experience).

As I said above already: After this: "There's nothing to worry about, Colonel, I assure you," what exactly tells you he hasn't /they haven't already?

I wonder if this is gonna be anything like personality imprinting. You know, like brainwashing. If the memories John, Rodney and Elizabeth of the latest Universe just viewed will become permanent parts of their minds now.

Wow. To have to experience that kind of knowledge, pain and loss all at once like that... that could break a person.

I also wonder how this will affect the three in the long run? In any case, they are so gonna be in Carson's mitts for awhile! *rubs hands together in evil glee*

Loved how you ladies had Sumner and John get used to each other's operating styles, so to speak, and that they have a good working relationship. So can't wait to see if Sumner dies some other way, though... ;) I'm thinking of that line of thought that sometimes one cannot change their ultimate fate - IOW - that Sumner ends up dying no matter what by the Wraith... Heh.
SO many possibbilities, and only 4 more chapters to go! *bawls*

You know you are in trouble when you sit there and go 'ahhh... angst' with a sigh of relief. The happiness (give or take) of everyone was freaking me out a little there and I was missing the dead versions of everyone. Not to mention I feel safer with some misery.

Hate to see what that looks like to everyone on the outside - it'd put me off using the memory storage thingies.

I think everyone else has said what I'd have to say already, but omg so few chapters left to go. There will be withdrawal!

This has so impressed me and I've enjoyed all the steps along the way. Along with everyone else, I'm seeing we only have a little bit more to go, and already wishing there was more, sort of pre-empting my disappointment over the ending of this.

Believe me, Auburn and me know the feeling. By the time we had finished the story, we both fell into quite a black hole, because the Monster had been with us for so very, very long. So, yes. When it's over? We'll go through withdrawal just like you.

No we're not. It's too hard disposing of the body.
