Title: Sink Into Me
Rating: PG for now
Pairing: Jalex
POV: Jack
Summary:  Alex gets drunk. Jack's confused.
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own them, this isn't true and I don't profit from anything
Author's Notes: This is my first ever fic, and I personally don't think it's very good. I was planning on doing this as a multi-chapter but that all depends on the feedback i get for this. Title credit goes to Taking Back Sunday. And it doesn't really have anything to do with the story either.

Chapter One

It’s happened again. Every few nights for the past 3 weeks he’s been coming to my room. I wouldn’t usually mind, I mean, I love his company, but the fact he’s drunk every time and he can’t remember anything we’ve done, well, that hurts. He’s never going to know remember is he?  Why did Lisa and him have to break up?! This would never have happened otherwise. He knows how I feel about him and every night I think that maybe, just maybe I have a chance at finally getting the man I want. Then, every morning when I wake up and I’m alone I have to tell myself it won’t happen. It can’t happen.

I heard the shuffle in the room next door and the door slam shut. I figured that it was Alex just going for a walk, he’s been doing that a lot since Lisa finished with him the week before. Then, there was a knock at my door. Not a loud one, a soft one that I was just able to hear. I walked over and opened the door, knowing it would have been Alex. He was looking down at his shoes, obviously trying to avoid looking me in the eye. His head suddenly lifted and he looked me in the eye. They were red and puffy from where he’d been crying.

“Alex? What’s wrong?” I asked before pulling him into a hug. He wrapped his arms around my waist before he began sobbing. I wasn’t going to force him to tell me straight away. It’s always hard to listen to him try and talk whilst he’s crying.

“Lisa called me, she said that she was seeing someone else before we split, but didn’t have the guts to tell me.”  He finally spoke once he felt ready. He carried on telling me about how in the 3 years they’d been together, for the past 6 months she’d been seeing this guy Josh, and when she was ‘working away’ she was really staying with him.

He left about half an hour after he arrived, saying he needed time to himself. He apologised for wasting my time, I don’t think he knows I like it when he comes to see me when things get too tough for him. Alex coming to see me had been the only thing that happened all evening, so I decided to have a shower before setting down to watch some Family Guy.

It got to about 11pm, when there was a knock at my door. It was louder; more forceful than the one Alex had used a few hours before, so I guessed it wasn’t him, probably Rian or Zack. Whoever it was repeated the knock, getting louder each time their hand hit the wood. I flicked the TV off and walked over to open it. It was Alex again.

“Jackyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!” he slurred, stroking my face with a huge smile on his, before walking in through the gap between me and the door.  I sighed, closing the door and walking over to my bed where he was laying.

“You’re drunk” I said bluntly, looking into his big brown eyes. He didn’t say anything, he just laughed. I laid down next to him, and for a few minutes it was silent apart from our breathing and the clock ticking on the wall. He suddenly rolled onto his side, just staring at me. I tried not to look at him, but knew I would have to eventually. I slowly turned my head to look at him, and his eyes. Wow. I couldn’t not look into them. That’s when I noticed they were getting nearer to my face. It took me a second to realise what was happening and by the time I had, his soft lips had hit mine.  He must have realised what had he’d done because just as quickly as his lips brushed mine, they were gone again. He stared at me for a few seconds before standing up “I’ve gotta go”. That was all he said before walking out of the room and leaving me feeling even more confused about how I felt about him than before.
