Yep, I did it! I signed the contract on the condo this morning. Talk about shaky nerves. For a person who has spent all of her life in perpetual motion, hopping from one place and job to another, this is perhaps the scariest thing I've ever done. I never liked renting. At least your money is going somewhere now. I rememeber Mamaw Renfro telling me to buy something as fast as I can so that I didn't have to rent anymore. And if you need to hop to another place, Come to Alaska for a visit! =)

Your Mamaw is right, but I never stayed in one place long enough to do anything other than that. I appreciate the idea that my money is going somewhere now - hope I can remember that! Oh, and Alaska, yes! I'm hoping to get there next summer to see both you and Paul and Jenni! Can I go I fishing with y'all??????????????

BTW, since I know Sherri and Paul and Joy and Clint are looking to buy at some point, there are more loan options than you can imagine. A girl here at work used to be a mortgage broker and she told me you can have weekly and bi-weekly (as opposed to monthly) payment options that are automatic drafts that cut the life of the loan dramatically, so that and overpayment on the amount are what I'm going for, since I am most concerned about monetarily being locked into anything for a long time.
