Tryin' Guitar in Class

I've decided I'm going to try using my guitar in music class today for the first time this school year. Hmmm, we'll see how it goes and how long my wrist will hold up. I'm going to teach the kids "The Hockey Monkey Song" :). It's always sure fire and it's simple, too. Only three chords- D, G, A- all of which I should be OK to handle without too ( Read more... )

Thanks, Joey! I played guitar for about twenty-five minutes during that lesson and it wasn't that bad at all (sticking to G, A, D). And the kids loved "Hockey Monkey" and "Apples and Bananas" :).

Well, it falls neatly into the catagory of you don`t know what you have until it`s taken away. But I`m pretty determined to get my guitaring up to speed steadily, especially since UT are the GoHs at the Ohio Valley Filk Festival next fall.

It`ll be nice to do guitar songs in the Christmas Concert and our Medieval Festival with the Gr. 4`s this year, too.
