Wednesday was my very last shift in Visitor Services. As luck would have it, I worked our 21 and over OMSI After Dark shift, which is always fun: first off, they gave all of us free samples of FUDGE; second off all the customer who come in are happy, usually on dates, and most likely drinking; third off, no children. What's your dad having done to his achilles?

He had a run in with a mole-hole, and wouldn't stay off his leg like the doctor ordered. Long story short, he tore the tendon lengthwise and it's healed that way. The only way to fix is is to cut out a section and shorten it. It's going to take a LOT of physical therapy!

Yikes! Yeah, that's going to take some PT and lots of work on his part to get it to heal properly and function right!! :)

Tell me about it! The good part is that he's managed to lose fifty pounds, so he's not likely to reinjure it. The doctor told him point blank that he wouldn't even think about doing the surgery until my dad lost at least thirty!
