I've been very frustrated with my mother lately. She doesn't really have a life outside of work, so she spends a lot of time obsessing over it and complaining to me and my dad (mostly me, since she thinks he's not a good enough listener. I wish I could get that reputation). She has very few friends that she doesn't see very often

Mmmm, yep. My dad and I are mostly like that; my mom and my brother, on the other hand, get really crazy if things don't go the way they planned. My brother (14) will get all teary-eyed out of frustration and yell at people if he doesn't get his ice cream on time.

she IS, and that's so.... annoying. I don't know. I love her. But she's impossible.
