Time for the movies/books update.
Movies (if I can remember half of them):
123. Casino Royale - loved it. Love Daniel Craig. Can't wait for more. :D
124. The Fountain - Honestly, it was a pretty movie, but I still couldn't tell you what it was about - not exactly anyway.
125. Casanova - the Heath Ledger version. Was ok - only watched it so there ( Read more... )

>Casino Royale<
Seen it twice... Daniel Craig is hot!!! And the boy can RUN!

>The Fountain<
I also thought it was pretty and not what I expected due to the hype, etc. I still enjoyed it but was expecting a little more. It leaned more to artistic and abstract for most people's tastes in my opinion.

>Casanova<
It's been on cable lately, and I just can't bring myself to watch it. I've seen a couple scenes here and there in passing... usually the same ones, but I just can't watch it all.

>Book of Love<
Goodness, that's been on cable, too... can't remember what it's about though.

>Shadow Puppets<
I'm curious since I read Ender's Game to read more of Card's work, but I've been all over the place with my books, I'm like in the middle of so many series. Sheesh.

>Grave Sight<
Yay... someone else who reads Charlaine Harris. :)

>Night PleasuresGoodness... I've read some of her stuff... tried reading it in order (per her website and stories versus publication dates). I think I got up to the guy who you don't remember after two minutes ( ... )

Daniel Craig - I wonder how many people switched their opinion of him after watching Casino Royale - I mean from "That guy is FUG!" to "OMG SO HOT". There were tons of haters in ONTD. I've loved him since Layer Cake ( ... )

>Daniel Craig<
I don't think I ever thought he was "fug"... I mean, I can't resist those eyes. :) Tee hee, The Jacket was on the other night, and the scene that I flipped channels through was one with (Rudy) Mr. Craig in it.

Dr. Lorenson: How are we doing today?
Rudy Mackenzie: For me... that is a really difficult question Dr. Laurenson, because the world around me is *shrinking*... and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are comin' to see me today, and they're not bringing flowers which... just makes it real difficult to get organized.

I caught a bit of Layer Cake the other night, but I was in the middle of house tasks, etc. I had seen various parts flipping through cable, so I watched the beginning to a part I saw, ran off to do dishes or laundry or whatnot, and then came back to watch the movie when that part was over. I still haven't seen ALL of it though.

>I feel the same way about the Fountain. It didn't explain anything well, but it was so pretty.*sigh* Yeah... and that smooch in the tub. I believe there was some ( ... )

I haven't seen any movies lately, despite the fact that there are like 8 million out right now that I want to see. And I haven't read a book in forever. Well, I have, but not for pleasure.

When I watched Veronica Mars, I wondered how the RA guy was so dumb as to be an accomplice to the rapes. Like, why would you be a ringman for that? I thought that was really chilling. And why was shaving the hair so important? Weevil has gone through so much that I hope he doesn't get blamed.

I MISSED UGLY BETTY THIS WEEK! I am waiting for it to appear on abc.com so I can catch it.

I didn't even realize it was fall season finale time.

The RA was involved because Mercer was controlling him - it started when they were in that Prisoner/Guard experiment for Sociology. Remember when Logan did that - that one guard was picking on that one prisoner and afterwards, that prisoner would do anything for the guard - I think he even got expelled or something for taking a test for him.

At least that's what I think.

As for the hair, I have no clue. I wonder if they'll explain it.

And I so think Weevil will be blamed at first. They always blame him. :(

Yeah bean! I like the stories where they're at the school better than the other ones.

*covets Daniel Craig*

"The Fountain" was very pretty indeed, and I think I sorta kinda got it. The main theme being, "you can't cheat death."

What did you think about the future-y bits? Do you think it was actually Hugh-from-the-present in 1000 years' time, or was it Hugh-from-the-present's ending to the book?

*ponders*

And can I join Team Henry? Walter annoys me somewhat.

*covets Daniel Craig along with you* :D He has such pretty eyes.

As for The Fountain, if I had to guess, I'd say it was Hugh-from-the-present in 1000 years' time. I thought the whole spanish Tomas drinking the sap and turning into flowers was the ending to the book. But I'm probably wrong. Usually am.

And OMG yes. Walter is so annoying. Plus, Henry is so dorky cute.

My Mom and I are currently arguing over who gets Daniel Craig, should the opportunity ever arise. That's just wrong, lol!

I like your interpretation of The Fountain. Sucks to be Hugh-from-the-present, though. Took the numbskull 1000 years to figure it out. ;D
