What a fun day. It was like my birthday, only 7 weeks early. Bought DDR today. I didn't buy a bundle like I had planned - I was gonna get the DDR Supernova Bundle, but since I rarely have extra money to spend, I decided to go for cheaper. I bought a $20 dance pad that works with both the gamecube and PS2 (I have access to both.) and a used DDR

Having consulted many Ender fans, and being one myself, know that if you never read Speaker for the Dead you'll be a much happier person! It's dreadful. If you can get through it then the next two are better tho!

A good suggestion is to go with Ender's Shadow and it's series...it follows Bean and then Petra as well. It's reallllly good.

Yeah, my brother warned me about it but I stubbornly insisted that he must be wrong, sadly he wasn't.

The Shadow series is just amazing tho! Not a single book in it is dull and terrible to get through!

For some reason I won't play that in public. I did once, but that was at the movies when it was late and no one was looking. Amazingly enough I got my best friend to play. Being my first time playing, I thought that you were supposed to step when the arrow got in the middle of the screen. LOL! I didn't see the arrow outlines up top. Ha!

Don't have that one although it's that book (reading the synopsis) that got me interested in the series. The synopsis made it sound like scifi/fantasy story so I was surprised to find it in romance. I ate up "Outlander" but I'm finding it difficult to get through "Dragonfly in Amber" for some reason. I also have "Voyager". I'm currently taking a break. :)

I refuse to play DDR in public as well. :D I'm so not brave enough for that!

I'm currently on The Fiery Cross in the Outlander series (book 5, I think) - it's slow goings. I'm almost thinking of stopping and just reading another book that's practically demanding my attention (World War Z) and just rechecking it out from the library.

Speaking of the library, they don't have any of Jim Butcher's books. :( I did see a promo on the Sci-Fi channel for a show called Dresden Files. Any relation?

Goodness, how many Gabaldon books are there? If I didn't love Jaime so much, I swear, I'd most likely just chuck the series.

And I was the same way about Anne Rice some years ago when I was trying to get through "Tale of the Body Thief" to get to "Memnoch the Devil". Well, I finally finished "Tale" but "Memnoch" just hurt to read. I still, to this day, haven't finished it.
