Oh dear. I mean, I like Irene, but... reminds me of the idea that Mulan represents an inherent improvement from Cinderella. Nope: it's an evolution in ideas that Mulan could be held up by Disney as an aspirational princess in her bravery and intelligence, but the problem was that being meek and good at housework was being held up as the female ideal, not that a character who was meek and good at housework was being shown.
