I am *sure* that although RTD set the key Martha had to go to in Germany that the whole horrible thing was, in fact, invented by an American (possibly of German descent). We all know that only Americans do such things in Whoverse - LOL.
And pointing out the silliness of the TARDIS shaped trapdoor - Yes! Although I admit I was so caught up in the moment the first time through it didn't process in my brain.
My personal fav. bit of silliness: Jack escapes the incenerator with not so much as a singe on him or his clothes. THAT is how AWESOME Captain Jack is. Woof!
Am I being thick or was it just a very poorly constructed plot point?
Very poorly constructed plot point. ;) Seriously. I can handwave it as he's more Time Lord than human, and she's more human than Time Lord, but it's still really lame.
I laughed when RTD and his crew lived out their anti-Americanism, but this is a bit mean, boo.
::pets:: He's left Canada alone, woo! I did think of you when the German Daleks came on, though.
I liked Donna’s mum’s way of celebrating the return to the solar system - she moved in a positively ecstatic way.

Hahahaha! You awesome woman. Did you tell me about this and I forgot? Anyway, it was very funny. Jack's voice was just right... but now that I know you wrote it, I'm not surprised anymore. ;)
No, I didn't tell you: I was going to mention it when I saw you next in chat, but I haven't seen you since I posted it.
I am considering posting it at the Teaspoon archive with my other fic and just not linking to it from my webpage: that might work. And then telling the rest of my f-list about it in a locked post. But hey, it's only a bit of rude silliness!
Hee. I remember my mum telling me that she didn't like me using the word "fuck" (the English word) as a swearword, and I think she would softly and suddenly vanish away if she were to find fic like that... Well, you'll have to judge whether your parents can cope. :D
I'm pretty busy these days (which is good, because being unoccupied equals being sad), so meeting for chat is difficult. Maybe Sunday morning, argh...

Good catch - yes, it's just lovely.

Not only have I read it, I wrote it!
I'm just being discreet about it because my parents read my LJ. :-D
