But are you saying /fnoj/ (rhymes with boy) or /fnodZ/ (like *fnoge)?

That was the point. As far as I can tell, it is gibberish. It probably used to be something, but it's been reencoded and broken.

F-nodge might be a decent interpretation of what I was saying. So the second, but I break between the F and N sounds.

Yeah, [fn] can be difficult to pronounce together, and the combination doesn't exist in English.
It was originally supposed to be the first, though.
