Y'all, this is my 15th LJ-versery. I'm starting my 16th year here... kinda wish I'd sprung for the permanent account way back like 13 years ago when they were on sale and I was all, "who knows if I'll even be on LJ in a year

Happy ljversary! (I've been very pleased with my decision to upload my early work to AO3, with the exception that a bunch of the dates got messed up and I wish I had taken the time to fix them at the time.)

Hi there,

we haven't talked before but I just wanted to pop in and tell you how happy I am that there are still fandom authors active on lj, keeping their journals and fics alive.

Feeling nostalgic and missing how lively lj used to be - with authors and fandoms and fics - I've been re-visiting my old fandoms and re-reading old favourites these past days and I simply had to hunt down "The Chosen". I've been a fic reader for a long time now and must have read thousands of them so far - with thousands yet to come - but "The Chosen" remains one of the few true fanfic masterpieces, a shining beacon of how fanfiction can be that still makes me happy that I chose the path of the fanfic reader. Thank you for writing it!
