Anniversaries
Y'all, this is my 15th LJ-versery. I'm starting my 16th year here... kinda wish I'd sprung for the permanent account way back like 13 years ago when they were on sale and I was all, "who knows if I'll even be on LJ in a year??"
It's been a crazy decade-and-a-half, but I wouldn't trade LJ, or the fandom friends I've made, for anything. I miss the heyday of this site, when I could check my friendslist multiple times a day and there was always something new. I miss those of you who are no longer on the site, who drifted into different fandoms from me. I do think about you, even though I don't update regularly. Tumblr's great, in a lot of ways, but I miss the *interaction* LJ provided, the commenting back and forth and everyone talking to each other.
I do NOT miss all the ten million different websites where people kept their fic back in the day though, omg. AO3, you are a beacon of sunshine. I may some day even move my popslash stuff over to you. Probably not; in retrospect a lot of it's really bad. Thanks for sticking with me as my writing improved, you guys!
