Mandy was ready for a night in with her favorite book. She had saw the post about Riley's party but had no reason to go. Also she certainly didn't want to have a run in with Daphne even though she wouldn't have minded seeing Draco again, it just wasn't worth it.
After making dinner she curled up in room with Pride and Prejudice, her favorite novel. She always loved Austen's writing and it was one of the firstl "big" book that her mother bought her when she was younger.
Mandy jumped when she heard her floo go off. She didn't know who would be here and certainly at this hour. She reached for her wand when she heard Terry's voice ring out. Well this was a pleasant surprise. She quickly climbed out of bed and ran down the stairs and to the living room, where she saw her best friend, "Terry?! What are you doing here? And are you alright?"
Not even hesitating, he wrapped his arms around Mandy and gave her a hug.
As he held her for a second, he replied, "I'm alright... I..."
He let go, and shook his head, just happy to have someone who was always so honest with him and easy to be around. "Tonight just fucking sucks. I needed to see someone normal."
MAndy quickly hugged him back being confused at what in the world was going on. Soemthing just didn't seem right with him.
She studeied his face when he broke apart and frowned. Well clearly he was okay. "WWell I'm glad you came here, although I don't know about all that normal stuff."
She grabbed his hand and led him to the kitchen while she started making tea. She pointed to the chair, "Sit and talk."

Sitting here in Mandy's kitchen was normalcy. He'd forgotten how much he'd enjoyed the comfort of her house.
"I don't know if you heard about the party tonight, but I showed up at that Slytherin O'Dannihugh's mansion looking for Daphne..."
Terry let his words drag off, waiting to gauge Mandy's reaction.
