I like him more understandable. I in general like and interested in demonic/abnormal characters, but when they represent a tool of one's transformation or growth. And they must have a real personality and emotions, not just being big and bad. I really wonder who Father is and what is his story...

Ooh, good luck with that. Except for the death by freezing (as many people suggest) it seems hard to kill something that big. And the people on his real form do provide to be an effective psychological shield.

I personally don't see him as intelligent enough to act on his own. He mainly just does what others tell him. He is a sadist though, yes. And his low self-esteem amuses me a lot.
