There are a lot of technicians here, actually, all milling around or typing on computers or what-not. A bunch of busy little geeks who probably couldn't even fire a gun straight if their lives depended on it.
There's a woman with short black hair over in one corner, chattering with one of the higher-level workers. She giggles now and then and tells 'Sam' to stop making so many jokes. The techie grins for a moment before frowining and scratching idly at his arm.
The woman turns her head to look at him, giving Krauser a good look at her profile. It's one of the STARS people. Yoko, to be specific.
She frets over Sam for a moment before he waves her off. His voice is barely audible. "I'm okay, ma'am. Ant bites make me itch, that's all. It's been on and off for a couple days."
Yep, Suzuki. Krauser, on his mental tally card, has dubbed her Fifty Points.
What? Everyone here has to die.
She's talking to a (two points!) tech; he's looking a little green. Krauser reaches for the pocket containing cigarettes, then glances up at the no-smoking sign on the wall. Yeah, he's lighting up before he gets out of here.
Said fity-point target is currently fretting over Sam the techie again. He's definitely looking green around the gills, and he hasn't stopped scratching his arm yet. He makes a face and scratches harder.
A vague idea seems to hit Yoko and she scurries off towards where the break room probably is. She comes back with a washcloth and a cup of water. She wipes Sam's forehead, looking grim. Sam downs the cup of water and just looks at her.
Come to think of it, the other techies look ill, too. What's going on around here?
Krauser glances up, waiting to see if anyone's going to hit the emergency signal--it will seem to go off, although it's not going to get help immediately; that's delayed. There's a layer of protection in case anyone calls out.
He also heads back out in the hall. Calls are prohibited here, but he can knock twice on a closed door and head back the way he came, having delivered the signal for it's starting, start your program and get the hell out.
Someone's helping a friend down towards the sick bay. He glances at his watch. Early cases; it's a little while yet before this place really gets going.

He doesn't look too good, though.
