Wake Up Call

Stared from: Figure It Out
Continued from: Losing My Mind

No one understood how it could have happened.

It wasn’t believed that such a defeat would have been possible, not with two of Endymion’s Shitennou leading such a powerful army.

Word had come back that after three days of fighting, the war turned quickly from Earth’s favor to that of the dark ( Read more... )

“You don’t understand,” she repeated, her voice hardening. “You’ve never been in love before.”

Those words stung worse.

Venus joined with the Moon, stating they had already given up too much in this battle of futility.

So I am guessing Serenity was too in love with Endymion, she was unaware of what Venus suffered? Spoilt little princess. That's why we need fanfiction!

WAIT! Did I miss something here? What happened to Kunzite and the other two? Adonis you ... you BRAT, what had you done?!

Please tell me you'll continue this chronicle to the present. It cannot just stop here!!

*insert evil laughter* I had to leave this ambiguous, otherwise it wouldn't be me. *smiles innocently*

It's all building up in the next part - answers are on the way!

You're kidding. You're actually going to stop it there, knowing that I'm going to have acid reflux until you write the next part, and yet you'll still stop it there and let me sit here with my mouth open and my pack of Rolaids all like: "HAHA! I write incredible shit and will leave V with another cliffhanger!" My stomach feels all squirmy! I'm just...like...dying here!
Saturn! What's going to happen! What the hell is going on? Is this:

His golden hair shined otherworldly and he had a shredded red sash tied around his waist.

Adonis?? Did he go batshit? WTF HELP! What side are the "survivors" on? What is going on? I'm not even sure I know who Venus is talking about when she says she was in love...ACK come on please don't leave me hanging too long!

I would offer to negotiate a trade but I'm backlogged as it is so I'm just going to beg instead. :(

Of course not! If you check your mailbox you'll see that I sent you a lovely gift of extra strength rolaids and some xanax for when all else fails. :)

and will leave V with another cliffhanger!"
At least I didn't leave him on the edge of a cliff this time - no? Not an improvement?

I would offer to negotiate a trade but I'm backlogged as it is so I'm just going to beg instead. :(
I will give you this next part, but one day I will come back and ask you for a fic and you will not be able to refuse this request....lol!

I still need to write the next part, but the part after that part has been written - so on the brightside there will be back to back updates.

But until then, just remember that sometimes rumors are just rumors.

I'm glad you liked this part at least. ^_^

I find the way you're portraying Endymion in this series very interesting, much more of a figurehead than a ruler. Though... I can't really blame him for locking himself away after losing Kunzite. I always see him as closest to Kunzite.

And poor Venus... her eyes vacant as if all the happiness had been drained from her Of course, we don't know if she's upset about Kunzite or Adonis...

I'm not really sure what to do with Endymion in this series, he just kind of makes his appearances. Although a lot of Endymion's descriptions are being told through Adonis's eyes and I think we can all start to see that Adonis tends to only see what he wants. That being said - I'm not yet done with Endymion.

I agree though - Endymion and Kunzite would be the closest, he would be the one that he trusted the most.

Now as for Venus....

I know, you want to torture Endymion a bit more before you finish with him! :P

Possibly Kunzite's betrayal hurst the most, then.

Now as for Venus....

Yes... as for Venus? :D

You're lucky I love you so much otherwise I'd be an unhappy fan right now. But Adonis is still a brat for what he's done! HEY!? Where's my Nephrite-sama and Jediete? I haven't seen or heard them in this story yet. Where are they hiding at or better yet where did you put them? And more please!

All of the boys will have a brief spot in an upcoming chapter. They are not forgotten, just not quite yet on Adonis's radar.

There will definitely be more to come though!

Reading this is a bit like watching an episode of Lost. You have sort of an inkling what's going on, develop theories and yet you have no idea where this is going to end. And just to avoid confusion: Lost is one of my favourite shows, so all of the above is intended as a compliment.

I like that this series makes me think. You play so cleverly with perceptions and limited knowledge, it keeps me on my toes.

“You don’t understand,” she repeated, her voice hardening. “You’ve never been in love before.”
Those words stung worse.
This convinces me that Venus does indeed love Kunzite. But then, the words might hurt because of their truth? See, I know nothing and I love it!

The loss of their army had been hard enough, but to know that they had lost their beloved son to a fight they had been drawn into was sacrifice enough.
Who is the son that they are talking about? Adonis? Kunzite? Someone else? Have I missed something?

I love that show too!!! It is so addicting and now I am completely flattered. :)

I actually stole this from the manga - I just need to remember which act so that I can credit it back. But I have to confess that those words do cover a myriad of things. But I can't reveal that just yet!

This was intended to mean Adonis, which is why the planet Venus isolated themselves from the Earth - although I do like that it could also mean Kunzite because the royal family certainly took a liking to him. So the answer to your question is now both.

I'm convinced it's Adonis, who has taken the sash from Kunzite. The description fits Jadeite as well, but the sash strongly points to Adonis. This is Adonis - I'm not telling where Jadeite is during ( ... )

I know, Venus makes adorable expression while Serenity runs away. But here, it is used so ambiguously that I just can't decide what it acutally means.

Everything I write is too obvious - and in the style of Lost, we can't have that! :)
Checkmate. Now I can't even beg. *grins*

I have a mountain of backstories to publish when I'm done
I'm looking forward to the next chapters (how many will there be?) and to the backstories. I love watching the supplementary stuff on DVDs, so supplementary stuff for fanfictions sounds like a lot of fun. And now I want to know what Jadeite is doing. Argh, you've made me even more curious!

Another Lostie! Which one is your favourite character? Before you answer: I haven't seen the last two episodes yet, just in case an exciting new person popped up and you want to mention him/her/it. Don't. *grins*

I don't know who my favorite is....I think it has to be Richard because he is so mysterious. Have you seen the episode Lafluer? I don't want to give anything away for you - I think that aired 3 weeks ago though. Last week's episode was really good too! We'll have to chat and you can tell me where you are. I will tell you though - you are in for some killer episodes!

For a while I was starting to drift away from the show because the plot was going really off course - but the show has really redeemed itself and I am completely hooked again! There is one mystery though that I think the show has completely decided not to answer - what was it that killed the pilot in the very first episode?
