Ooooh, interesting that you found your way to DW through fic. I've never heard of anyone doing that before.

I had a friend in HS who was a great artist and she was also influenced by Sailor Moon. LOL. It was huge when we were like 15.

BtVS is one of my old favs as well. I also love Big Bang Theory. I have downloaded many icons for those shows but right now Rose/Doctor seems to be dominating my icon slots LOL

Fic is actually one of my ways of testing my way into a new fandom. It's a bit strange, but usually when I find the fic and comm in a fandom to be interesting, then I'm almost sure to like the original materials itself.

A lot of my drawing/artisty friends in my age bracket was also heavily influenced by Sailor Moon, it was like THE manga for girls, at the time :D

The same for my icon-making time XD

Ok, I can understand why English, Italian, Indonesian languages, but Dutch? How come? :D

(enough for simple pleasantries, asking for directions and buying things XD)

So the lectures you have are in English, then?

I'm a bit eclectic that way Lol, yeah, I actually thought you were doing somethic artistic so engineering surprised me XD But I am eclectic, too, I applied to three universities - Administrative magagement(well, sort of), Politology and Foreign languages, the last one was sort of safety cushion because it was too easy for me to enter and here I am, my spare became my alma mater xD ( ... )

Dutch: I took a double degree masters, 6 months of which was in the Netherlands :)

My lectures are all in English, yes, and in our program, the foreigners heavily outnumber the Italians, so... (I do know I should make more effort to learn better Italian, I'm just quite a bit lazy in starting XD)

Buffy is a really fun series, although the later ones are a tad depressing, and Sailor Moon is always good to be nostalgic about :D

Oh, I see, sounds great, were lectures there in Dutch?

I do know I should make more effort to learn better Italian
You won't need it outside of the country itself but it's rather beautiful and musical so it won't hurt if you try ;D I've wanted to study it for quite some time already and I've just recently started but it's so close to Spanish I feel it''l be easy on me XD

Sailor Moon is always good to be nostalgic about
hehe, yeah, it's just when I rewatched a season in the age of 17 it all looked a lot sillier than it did when I was 11 xDD

Don't I get questions?

Eeek! I can't believe I forgot the questions XD

1. What would you like to do after you graduate? Would you like to go abroad for your job?

2. What are your hobbies/activities outside fandom and translating?

3. What is one of the first things you notice about someone you meet online? Does it color your opinion of them later?

4. If time travel is possible, would you like to go? If yes, where and when? (This does NOT necesarilly mean time travel with the Doctor, though XD)

5. If you can switch career/majors and have your dream job/position, what would you like to do? (lets pretend money's no obect, and I know that you applied to three majors, but knowing what you know now, would you switch?)

and
on the Netherlands: I didn't actually participate in many lectures there, mostly research, but they're all in English, yes. Plus, in the Netherlands, the Indonesian community is like the Chinese anywhere else, namely, there are a LOT of us there. You'd find Indonesian restaurants and supermarkets practically in every town :D
