I have TOLD you. We need to have dinner. You're the hard-working one, so shoot me an email with thoughts on when you might want to come up for air. :) :) :)

This shows just how knowledgeable you are. While in London & CA I had many moments of feeling really good about myself -- and I noted them and have referred to them since as times when "yeah, I was hot, ok?"
I'm glad you're feeling better, though a dead A/C in this weather is not a good thing. If you want to sit on a deck with a view of trees and lower First Avenue, instead (alas!) of the ocean, you're welcome here anytime. ;-)
Love the corset! I have several as part of my steampunk wardrobe, but I confess they literally take my breath away. I suppose I should practice more around the house . . .
Thanks! OMG you have a deck now? *burns with envy*
When I had the corset properly done by a friend at the club, I was quite literally airborne. And could not breathe. It's not sustainable long-term, but for a bit I really felt trussed.
Well, a terrace? Balcony? anyway. (I think of decks as wooden and this is concrete . . . ) We haven't started to furnish it yet, as it's a bit hot/humid to sit out at present, but eventually we'll get a café table and chairs set and some plants.
I've only lasted about three hours at best, corseted, at the couple of steampunk events I've worn one at. Then I've called it a night and gone home so I could, you know, breathe again. So many people keep them on all day at events and cons, I'm amazed and impressed.
It is not custom... purchased in Camden day-of for that night. As you can see in the photo it isn't tied properly -- later on there was an obliging fellow with experience who was happy to adjust. After which he proclaimed his work "Jessica Rabbit."
