Okay, ugh ugh ugh. I am in my own personal hell and can't even post an entry. So this is my therapy for the day: post an entry. Try not to make it sound suicidal. Form complete sentences. Go on, you can do it

Darling, I'm so sorry to hear that things have been so hard lately. Do you think maybe the medication is playing havoc with your emotions? I'm glad you're going to London. I hope it gives you the break you need. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help cheer you. *hugs*
Thank you, Lenore! You are good to me. I wish that I could shake the interminable blues, but they're a part of me. I know I can do better at compartmentalizing the depression and allowing room for energetic activity, though.
New medication is definitely not helping and I'm going to speak with the doctor.
I'm not sure I'd take Stefan's word on anything, you know.
I feel that a change of scenery will invigorate me. I need to stop saying I can't possibly do this or that, and make it happen because travel makes me feel alive. It's not like I would ever PREFER to stay at the Ritz if you know what I mean.
I *did* once stay at the Ritz (won a raffle) and it wasn't really all that.
When I used to go on business trips, I would sit down with a copy of the local freebie paper the Yellow Pages, and the bus map, and scope out tours of second-hand bookstores, thrift shops, and yard sales, so I got to explore lots of obscure neighborhoods.
Of course the prevailing opinion is that I'm kind of whimsical in the brainpan.
I'm totally down with that method. I usually just pick one bus or subway line and ride all the way to the end and just walk around to see where regular people actually live. I especially love visiting hardware stores in foreign countries.
Also, I agree that the whole "future" thing is a massive disappointment. You can turn your brain off (or at least turn the volume right down) AND brain internet still hasn't been invented. That's on top of the total lack of flying cars.

It will be springy when you come to NY and we will have fun, no doubt! But first, London. :)

Also, Stefan says that the whole switch-in-the-head thing is just a myth.
