I don't mean to harsh your squee, but I figured I'd ask... is it really "team"? Because from what I can tell, just skimming people's episode reaction posts, it's pretty much the two guys as partners, and Kono and Chin as supporting characters.

(Also, comparing Kono and Chin to Teyla and Ronon doesn't exactly fill me with confidence in terms of "team".)

Hey squee harsher! I saw your fannish unpopular opinion earlier after I'd postsed this. And it will well be true that not all opinions will align like the stars. There is a lot I'm iffy about with regards to the show - macho blah blah, Grace Park in a bikini straight up, H5-O running around with special permission to investigate any crime they like and get involved with terrorists, blah blah baddies of the week - nothing at all to get excited about there. I'll give you that.

There are the two flirty dudes, they will get most of the attention, but they've also had times when it was a regular foursome. Chin and Kono have their badass roles to play and that's good for me. I like the attempt at Hawaiian culture - I'm aware it's not perfect but nothing is. Shows what a diverse and beautiful state it is!

Anyway, it has potential to be watchable, to be fun and to be a cracky fandom diversion for many. If they play their cards right.
