A meme, and a clip everyone on earth should watch.

I actually have a lot of things I should journal about, but I'm trying to bury my head in the sand and pretend like they're not there. So instead you get memes and video clips. I'm sorry, except for how I'm not.

melliyna and orbitaldiamonds both posted this meme again at about the same time, and I, being a sucker, went ahead and commented. So.

Leave me a comment saying ( Read more... )

1. Where have you lived in your life, and where would you like to live?
2. What's the best relationship you've ever been in and why? (Doesn't necessarily have to be romantic.)
3. If you could do any one thing every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
4. What's your favorite color & has it always been?
5. What have you been listening to, watching & reading lately?

1. Throwing it right back at you: what's your major policy passion? ;)
2. Related (even though I think I may have asked you this before, lol @ my faily memory...), what do you want to be when you grow up and why?
3. What drew you onto Twitter?
4. What are your five favorite West Wing moments?
5. What are your five favorite things about yourself? (Looks, personality, anything!)

1. Oh gosh, watch me go on. It's actually a couple of things but I think the major one is probably good policy formulation. Because so much of modern day governance is done in the short term - it's reactive (which is a system fault, in a lot of ways) and I'd love to take a look at the process of how policy is made so it can be reorientated towards the long term. Being able to bring in experts in the field, thinking about what works (particularly in areas like prison reform), ensuring long term budgeting and ability to revise any problematic issues. Because we need to get better at it, especially in areas like environmental policy ( ... )

Damn, I should've known that one of the consequences of throwing your own question back at you would be agreeing with you totally and being jealous of your words. ;P

Aw, natural path indeed! I thought that arts management would be a similarly natural path, but I think my brain has betrayed me with all of this policy wonk stuff...

Yeah, I should've known that asking you for WW moments'd make me wanna rewatch the show. Damn you, Sorkin!

You are a lovely writer and absolutely not a conceited anything. Most of the reason I'm pushing myself to catch up with CM is so that I can read more of your beautiful words without spoiling. :) (Even if the episode lists I keep checking to see where I'm at have sort of semi-spoiled me anyway. LOL)

3. What's the best relationship you've been in and why? (Doesn't necessarily have to be romantic.)
4. What have you been doing in your quiet/leisure time lately?
