quick hits, because i don't have a lot of time and it's been a while.

• went to see david wain and a bunch of other awesome people (we're talking amy poehler, michael showalter, ken marino, janeane frickin' garofalo and rashida fucking jones!!) at the release party for the ten last night with jen. it rocked the planet hizzle kizzle. i have to see

well, it's not totally that way for me, either. there are members of my family with whom i don't discuss it, but they're generally pretty far away, so it doesn't matter. i do play the pronoun game a lot at work. some people at work definitely know; but for the rest, it's one of those things that if i say "girlfriend" in conversation, i'm not skirting it but i also know they probably take it as "girl friend." if i'm asked directly, i answer directly. taken together, it's not lying exactly, but it's a little evasive. and i feel kinda crappy about that sometimes.

i dunno, chica, how much do you think it would affect things for you at this point? other than, of course, your mom flipping the fuck out? (happy birthday to her, btw.) i'm betting that there are people who already know or at least suspect. i can't imagine that no one even remotely suspects. but, again, it's a tough conversation to have to begin with.

Oh, no no, i totally know its not that easy for you. And thats part of what got left out when i needed to leave the office, was my just basically talking about how i know its not the same at all and how everything just seems more dire because of how immediately everything was happening. But we should talk about this like, elsewhere cause its totally something i need to work out (and dude, thats what i love you for!). Oh, and cause im currently writing this on a bus with most of the people im totally closeted with, lol. Mwahs and loves.
