I knew you'd mention A Little Princess with the Simon/River question, but that doesn't make it any less awesome that you did. :)
Also, I'm now contemplating what would happen if Veronica, Dawn, and River each got her own universe to rule, and then the universes collided. Whatever happened, I bet it would be awesome!
As Ari probably knows, teenaged girls running the universe is one of my big kinks.
While I felt the Alices would be too easy, I didn't even consider for a moment the possibility A Little Princess wouldn't make it on the list (well, actually, I did think for a brief moment about substituting it with The Secret Garden or Little Lord Fauntleroy).
Well, not all of them at once. She doesn't have that much stamina. Not to mention the universe exploding from them all being together.
I was mostly thinking about Ten, but I don't see why anyone couldn't work it with One, Eight, or Nine, so I chose not to restrict to simply one reincarnation. I don't know enough about Two through Seven to say anything about them, but I suspect that Doctor/Dawn would work for most of them too.
Ooh, If on a winter’s night a traveler. That's on my To Read list, and from what I know of it sounds like a great choice for River to want Simon to read aloud.
I also love rozk's first five things request. (And I'm inclined to agree with you on the Summerscest, though I've definitely read well-done Buffy/Dawn.)
Nice one with Faith's last name :)
I think River would have to get saner before she could run the multiverse.

Yeah, great book; I read it for a Philosophy of Literature class in undergrad (obviously). I like it for Simon/River not only because of the craziness and non-linearity, but also how it explores the (sexual?) intimacy between Reader and Storyteller. You'll enjoy it, I think.
I also love rozk's first five things request.
Since Roz's requests were all the examples I had used in my version of the meme, I suppose I get to claim the credit. (One of the things I really liked about this meme is that most of my flisters edited the instructions to reflect the types of questions they expected/wanted to get.)

Possibly. Probably. On the other hand, insanity may well be a prerequisite.

Ooh. That sells me on it even further :)

A certain kind of insanity is perhaps a prerequisite. But I was thinking about how River feels/knows things without being able to filter it -- which can be overwhelming.

I think that, sometimes, Dawn totally goes for the jackasses. I can't say I necessarily approve of her choice, but I think I can understand it.

I'm not sure I am going to put the meme in LJ, but after those I feel I owe you at least three if you want them...
